1889-CC PCGS MS64+ CAC Morgan Dollar

From the Wurt Collection – This 1889-CC PCGS MS64+ CAC Morgan Dollar is an absolute Gem!  At first look, you think this is a MS65+ or higher common date Carson City.  The details are sharply struck with snowy mint frost blanketing the entire coin.  Both obverse and reverse fields are extremely clean and just a few scattered ticks are seen.  This piece is one of my favorites of the Wurt Collection and I grade it MS64.999.  PCGS POP 1 with 3 finer.  I’ve handled Two MS64DMPL 89-CC’s and was offered Three in the last 2 years all selling for $220K to $260K.  The PCGS MS64DMPL Pop is 20 with a Price guide of $255K.  MS64+DMPL is Pop 1 “non CAC” and the price guide is $300K.
